Randee Trabitz is a Los Angeles based theater director who likes to travel. She directed a run of new works at Berlin's English Theater Berlin, took her own version of Sophocles' Electra to an international festival in Delphi, Greece and staged a pirate musical on a Disney Cruise Ship. In LA, she's directed many solos with artist extraordinaire John Fleck, most recently Blacktop Highway at REDCAT in Disney Hall, which will be moving to Dixon Place in NYC next Fall. She also works regularly with Obie-winning satiric-puppeteer PaulZaloom, of Beekman's World fame. Her work has won some prizes (LA Weekly Award, Garland and Ovation Awards,) and been awarded grants (CAD, Durfee and Flintridge.) Randee has recently been writing and shooting short films, and aquired her MFA in Film, Television, and Theater Production from Cal State LA in 2015. She is most proud of having raised a spectacular daughter, Madeleine, with her philosopher husband, Henry Mendell.
